Several bombs have been discovered in the Birbhum district. This morning, the Tarapith police station found four plastic buckets containing bombs in Khamedda village. It is estimated that each bucket contains ten bombs, bringing the total to forty.
The bombs were concealed behind bushes near a pond in a field on the road to Khamedda-Ishira village. Local farmers spotted the explosives while heading to their fields for work and alerted the authorities.
The Tarapith police station quickly responded and secured the area. A specialized bomb squad has been called in to safely dispose of the bombs.
